QUESTIONS?
You're definitely in the right spot!
HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?
Therapy sessions typically take 50 minutes. Occasionally there is a situation that warrants a longer session, these need to be discussed ahead of time and will be pro-rated at my 50-minute rate.
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
I charge $180 per session; credit cards and/or FSA/HSA cards are accepted. Sliding scale appointments are available.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Stuff happens and I get that. However, I require a 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment or you will be charged the full fee. Scheduling an appointment involves the reservation of time specifically for you and so this time cannot be used for another client.
WILL YOU SEE MY PARTNER AND I SEPARATELY?
Broadly, nope. While some therapists might want to see you and your partner together, then individually, then together again, I find that my clients and I are happiest when we all know the same information. I don't want you to worry about what your partner may have said to me during our one-on-one session, nor do I view myself as the secret keeper of your relationship.
Now that doesn't mean that I will never see you separately from your partner but these situations are extremely rare.
HOW ARE YOU QUALIFIED?
I earned a Master's degree at Antioch University in their Marriage and Family program. I also have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and an externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Before completing my training I worked at an in-patient psychiatric clinic for two years and I completed a one-year internship at Sound Mental Health.
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I genuinely love getting to know my clients and being a part of their unique journey.

When I'm not in my therapist chair I can be found out and about testing Seattle's various wonderful bakeries, with my nose in a book, or puppy sitting for all the wonderful puppies in my life.
WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE?
I am an out of network provider, however, I can give you a "superbill" to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Questions to ask your insurance provider:
-
Do I have mental health insurance benefits? What are my out of network benefits?
-
How much will be covered per session? Is couples therapy covered?
-
What is my deductible and has it been met?
-
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
